The original weights class that builds strength, tones your body, and pushes you to the limit to be strong. This is a 60 minute weights-based resistance training class that is moderate to high intensity.
A UMass graduate and former utility executive, Larry has been working in the fitness arena for the past 15 years.
He began his second career in fitness in Lowell, MA where he met his wife who was teaching Body Pump. He eventually received his Body Pump certification with her encouragement. He also helped manage “The Club” in Lowell prior to moving to Florida.
Once in Florida, Larry resumed teaching Body Pump at Lifestyles in Clearwater and Palm Harbor and in addition, became certified in RPM (spin) and Silver Sneakers and assumed the Group Fitness Manager position at the Palm Harbor facility. Soon after the take over by LA Fitness of the Lifestyle clubs he and Cheryl began teaching at Family Fitness Center; now known as Dunedin Family Fitness.
Larry has been teaching Silver Sneakers for 11 years and Body Pump for 14 years and maintains his certification in RPM. Current CPR and AED through April 2017.
Larry’s hobbies include: boating, hiking and fitness; and competed twice in the Boston Marathon.
Cheryl began her fitness career while earning her MA in Environmental Science. She initially taught kick boxing and spin, but was lulled into the world of LesMills Fitness while working at “The Club” in Lowell, MA.
She moved to Florida with her future husband (Larry) in 2003 and resumed teaching Les Mills classes for Lifestyles and eventually on to Dunedin Family Fitness.
Cheryl has been teaching Body Pump for 16 years and Body Flow for 8 years and formerly taught Body Combat and Body Step. Cheryl also works as a Massage Therapist.
Her hobbies include: hiking, mountain climbing and windsurfing. She climbed Mount Kiliminjaro while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania and has run twice in the Boston Marathon.

High Intensity Interval Training is a total body strength and conditioning class that will challenge you to improve your overall fitness. This interval training circuit class is a mix of cardio, weights, and plyometrics. Stations are set up to utilize strength, agility and power. Every major muscle group is challenged in every circuit training class.
Have fun, meet friends, and move to music through a variety of exercises to increase strength, range of motion, and improve functionality. Hand held weights, elastic tubing, and a silver sneakers ball are used for resistance. A chair is used for seated intervals and standing support.

30 minutes of low-impact, easy to follow, step aerobics. Followed by 30 minutes of resistance exercises to strengthen all of the muscles of the core and upper body.

This cutting edge, ballet inspired, non-impact workout uses the principles of dance, pilates and functional strength training to strengthen your legs, arms and core. You will leave this class feeling toned and fatigued from the small isometric movements and full range of motion movements and you will love it!! Socks are recommended.
